I’ve been unable to determine exactly why my comments aren’t working, and the other issues I’m having using a custom-theme are starting to become a hassle; so I am going to switch to Atahualpa for the time being. Feel free to offer your comments. I just realized that the comments section of this site isn’t working. I’ll be looking into it over the coming week, and try to get it up and running as soon as I can. Well, I am “officially” back, in the sense that I will be writing regular content for this site, as opposed to simply puttering around with the design. I know it’s been along time since I’ve made an appearance… I just had to come back and share some good news. Omi, a restaurant I spoke of nearly one year ago, has been reborn at Parliament and Carlton and I am atwitter at the prospect of enjoying a fine meal under John Lee’s careful [...] Ok, this post has failed twice, so the recap: This is just a reminder that friends of mine will be doing their regular internet-radio broadcast of America’s Debate Radio tonight starting at 9pm (with live calls to commence after Bush’s speech.) The general subject of this week’s show will be the much-discussed troop “Surge.” The show is American, but it nonetheless offers a unique [...] In case you didn’t notice, I now have a “Green hosting” icon on my left sidebar. I mention this not to gloat or congratulate myself, but out of a nagging suspicion that it’s utter bullshit. I have no reason do disbelieve Dreamhost’s claims, but I don’t see how a giant building that’s full of [...] The first question people ask me when I get all worked up and start pestering them about the Bloggers’ Congress is usually, what is it? (Sometimes it’s “why are you bothering me?”) I’ve got nothing. Nada, zilch, zero… Call it complete political burnout. I can’t muster any sort of enthusiasm or interest in politics today. Apologies all around. Anyone else ever get this feeling? Well today promises to be long. I’ve got a job interview at two, and then I am off to Peterborough to visit the old Alma Mater. Every year there is a trivia contest held in the Great Hall and I am once again going to be representing the alumni team in our bid to eventually [...] My server is being kind of spastic today, so don’t be surprised if things run at less than peak efficiency. In conjunction with the NSA, I am pleased to announce that the Naked Surfball Association of America webpage is now online. Well I’ve been getting a tonne of trackback SPAM which Bad Behaviour wasn’t picking up, so I’ve activated the Askimet plugin. Apologies if a comment gets caught as SPAM. Just in case anyone is confused, I’ve renamed Popular Culture as Culture and Media and added a Technology category… That will be all. If any of this is confusing, then you’re spending too much time on my blog. I can’t seem to make up my mind where to focus my next group of posts, so I’ve put a poll up. You guys tell me where I should direct my thoughts. |
