Canada's Debate

Earlier today I wrote in regards to a post over at the Paulitics weblog. While I still strongly disagree with what Paul wrote, I feel an apology is in order for the language I used.

I have no moral concerns about using phrases like “dickhead,” but it is not exactly a productive way to foster discussion. A flawed argument is best de-constructed with an intelligent, thoughtful rejoinder… and while sarcasm can play a role in that, it’s the seasoning of a good argument, not the sauce. To both Paul and my readers, I apologize for flying off the handle. I should have pointed out the flaws in your reasoning more directly and fairly.
