I know copyright laws aren’t exactly exciting fodder for discussion, but it fascinates me to no end. To that end, I’m linking to this page from Michael Geist, which features to Realaudio interviews; one from the CRIA and one from the guy himself. While the question of copyright law itself kind of gets blushed out a bit, it is a very interesting discussion nonetheless.
The main point, the one that is inescapable: people don’t pay for digital music downloads because paid digital downloads suck, and destroying the balance of copyright and fair use is not a good way to remedy the situation.
